Extends Classic N2009, Time Band Discount Offers |
|
 |
|
Glo Mobile has announced
the extension by two months of its Classic Plus N2009 and Glo
Time Band promotions.
The two offers will now run until March 31, 2009.
Classic Plus N2009 and Glo Time Band were part of the three
promotions launched by Globacom on December 1, 2008 to mark
the Christmas festive season and the New Year.
The third offer was the on-going Win 'n' Rule promotion which
was made bigger with 1000 generators, 1000 motorcycles and 1000
bicycles. |

Globacom's
Director of Marketing, Jagat Jit Singh said the two-month extension
was in response to the clamour by Glo Mobile subscribers for an
extension of the promotion. He added that this would enable many
more people to benefit from the offers.
In the Classic Plus N2009 offer, every new prepaid Glo Classic subscriber
who activates his N200 line within the period of the promotion will
be given N2009 worth of benefits by the network.
These include free airtime worth N39 for calls within the network
and twenty two free Glo to Glo SMS worth N110. The customer will
also be credited with N200 free airtime per month for 6 months if
his or her usage is up to N300 every month, making N1, 200 free
airtime for Glo to Glo calls within the period. He will also have
N110 worth of Glo to Glo SMS every month for 6 months, totalling
N660.
The total benefit amounts to N2009. The Glo Time Band offers subscribers
up to 95% reduction in charges for calls made on the Glo Mobile
network. In the promotion, customers are entitled to discounts of
between 10% and 95% depending on the time of day the call is made.
Calls made between 12 midnight and 5 a.m. will attract 95% discount,
calls made between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. will have 40% discount, while
calls between 8 a.m. and 12 noon will be at a 10% discount. Between
12 p.m. and 2 p.m., Glo is offering callers 20% discount, while
calls from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. will attract 10% discount. Subscribers
who call between 10 p.m. and 12 midnight will enjoy a 30% discount.
Singh explained the discounts were applicable across Nigeria and
did not, like similar products in the market, limit subscribers
to specific zones.
“Glo Time Band is the first such offer in the market. Our
subscribers will benefit from it irrespective of where they are
in Nigeria. You do not have to enjoy the benefit only when you are
at a particular place or zone,” he added.
The discount offer is open to all existing and new subscribers on
the prepaid platform except the Commercial Telephone Operators (CTO)
packages.
Singh had at the launch of the promotion in December stated that
it was meant to show appreciation to customers for their patronage
and support throughout the year.

Plans Nigerian Office |

Epson, a global technology company, has
in a classical marketing style facilitated by Technology Distributions
Limited, acclaimed leader in ICT distribution in West Africa, has
revealed the depth of options available in its products portfolio.
The 7-man Epson team was led by Shaun Robinson, Account Manager, Africa.
Shaun Robinson said that Epson has over 100 years tradition of creating
products that are smaller and more precise. “Epson has a vision
to drive digital image innovations by providing |
|
|
|
cutting-edge
imaging solutions focused on the fields of imaging on paper, imaging
on screen, and imaging on glass.”
Shaun Robinson listed the products to include Epson Inks, photo paper,
Inkjet printers, Laser Printers, Projectors and Scanners. Resellers
and many end users were excited by the TX800FW and the EMP400We.
Robinson explained that the TX800FW is a heavy weight performer, a
new statement in design for a dynamic lifestyle with wireless connectivity
and high quality document and photo printing.
Shaun Robinson added that the TX800FW enables printer sharing in offices,
has an array of functions including scanning, faxing, copying and
printing. It has amazing speed, capable of duplex printing, high resolution
printing and produces intricate details accurately.
In her demonstration, Nieve Cavanagh, Epson's Business Development
Manager, referred to the EMP400We as an educational projector that
enables interactivity with students, recounting that the projector
is perfect for use with interactive white boards, projects without
shadows (ultra short throw), easy to maintain with network monitoring
and control and has enhanced anti theft features.
The resellers and end users were unanimous in demanding the after
sales support that Epson was prepared to put in place. They complained
that in the past they have seen very good Epson products perform badly
in the market because of non existent after sales support. They also
wanted to know if the Epson pricing policy was competitive enough
to guarantee patronage.
Replying to the questions Shaun Robinson explained that by mid-year,
there would be an Epson office physically in Nigeria for the purpose
of after sales support adding that Epson products were as competitive
as they could be without compromising the very high quality for which
its products are known. He assured the resellers that they would always
be adequately rewarded for selling Epson products.
In her contribution, Mrs Chioma Chimere, General Manager Marketing,
Technology Distributions, said that Epson has shown commitment to
the Nigerian market through the size and quality of the Epson marketing
team.
Mrs Chimere expressed satisfaction at the sustained high quality standards
of the Epson products. She noted that the Nigerian ICT market was
opening up every day and the resellers must take advantage of the
Epson proposition to increase their market shares and turnover.
She recalled that some users complained about the compatibility of
the Epson ink, adding emphatically that end users have problems with
ink only when they buy fake ink from unauthorized channels.
She urged the resellers to always buy from TD and save themselves
the discomfort of buying the same ink again and assured the resellers
that TD would remain the ultimate source of genuine and high quality
ICT products from original manufacturers. |
